4 Best Premiere Pro Color Grading Tools
Cinema Grade
Cinema Grade is a plugin that works with Premiere Pro, Final Cut and even DaVinci Resolve. And it’s beloved by users around the world!
Cinema Grade makes it easy to plan and execute color changes, including color correction and color grading. It does this by creating unique screens for each part of the process. There’s even a dedicated section for shot matching!
But one of the coolest features of Cinema Grade comes in the color grading section. This Premiere Pro plugin actually allows editors to upload a still image, which the software will then use to create a special look for your footage!
So, if you love Ridley Scott films and want to emulate the color from one of his films, just take a screenshot and upload it to Cinema Grade.
You’ll spend $69 for the basic Cinema Grade plugin; $99 for Pro; and $199 for Filmmaker. Learn more and try Cinema Grade today (including a free version!).

FilmConvert
Film Convert is a Premiere Pro plugin that focuses on the color grading process. It relies on preset looks, LUTs and film stocks to help editors achieve professional quality color.
One thing we love about Film Convert is that it makes the coloring process much quicker. Because it relies on preset looks, you’ll spend less time generating looks and more time refining them.
Simply apply the look you want and use Film Convert’s customization tools to adjust it how you want.
Editors can expect to pay $139 for the Premiere Pro version of Film Convert. Or, if you use multiple editing platforms, pay the $199 for the ability to use your license across them all.
Red Giant Magic Bullet Colorista
Magic Bullet Colorista from Red Giant is perhaps one of the most powerful plugins on this list. That’s because purchasing it gives editors access to more than just color grading tools.
You’ll have to purchase the “Red Giant Complete” package to get access to Magic Bullet. But that purchase also includes powerful programs like Trapcode Suite for motion graphics and also VFX.
The one downside is that the program is pretty expensive… and it includes a subscription-based payment. Which, for Premiere Pro editors already paying a monthly subscription rate, can be a bit of a pain in the ass.
Red Giant Complete will set you back $599/year.
LUTs
Another great option for Premiere Pro editors looking to improve their color grading are LUTs. Learn what LUTs are here, and consider checking some out for yourself!
